Terms and Conditions
Age:
You must be at least 18 to skydive at Skydive Temple.
Weight:
Maximum weight is 230 lbs. If we feel that your physical condition or body shape is not appropriate for skydiving we will not allow you to jump regardless of your weight.
Payment:
We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, Debit cards, checks, and cash.
Dogs: The skydiving center is a business with lots of expensive parachute equipment around. Please leave any dogs who are not service animals at home.
Reservations, Deposits, and Refunds:
We require reservations and a valid credit card to hold that reservation. If you cancel your reservation less than 48 hours before your scheduled jump, or if you fail to show for your jump, your credit card will be charged a fee of $50. If you show for your jump and we are unable to complete it due to weather, aircraft problems, etc, you will be given your choice of a full refund or a rain check good for a jump at another time.
Time:
You must budget 4 hours for your jump. Your jump is usually completed in about 2 hours but you must be prepared to stay 4 hours to allow for delays due to weather, aircraft problems, equipment issues, etc. The paperwork, training, equipment preparation, aircraft ride, jump, and removal of equipment takes at least 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Skydiving is not a carnival ride; it is not bowling, and it is not done in a controlled environment where we can guarantee an exact schedule. You must be prepared to stay 4 hours. If you are not prepared to stay 4 hours, please do not schedule a jump with us. We jump every one in the reservation order, some exceptions are made to do the jumps in the most efficient and timely manner.
We cannot guarantee that groups of 3 or more can always jump on the same aircraft although we often can make that happen. On occasion, if a large group wishes to go together we may have to take you out of reservation order to make that happen.
We absolutely wish for all our student jumpers to have the best experience possible and any delays that you may have in making your jump are unavoidable. We always do our best to get you in the air quickly.
Video and Still Picture Policy:
If you purchase the video and still picture package, an experienced freefall photographer will film you on the ground prior to your jump, film you in the aircraft, jump from the aircraft with you, film you in freefall, and film your landing.
As it is physically impossible for the freefall photographer to video more that one Tandem in freefall, each Tandem jumper must have his own photographer.
They will edit your video with music, put it on a DVD, and put your still pictures on a CD. This procedure takes about 30 minutes from the time that you land. You will be given the opportunity to view your video on our monitors prior to your departure, and we encourage you to do so. On rare occasions we may not be able to edit your video prior to your departure and, in that case, we will mail the video to you, and we reserve the right to do so.
Your still pictures are taken with digital cameras and this allows us to take many pictures of your jump. As we do not edit these pictures prior to transfer to your CD (unlike your edited video DVD), there will be some great pictures, some good pictures, and some really bad pictures as the camera is allowed to run even when the videographer is not looking at you. You will get pictures of the floor of the aircraft, the ground, the sky, but you will also get a number of really good pictures. We do not guarantee a specific amount; there are usually plenty of pictures.
We have many experienced freefall photographers and their techniques, presentation, and editing all differ. Your video may not look exactly like others in your group and, in fact, it may be better, different, or not as good. We do have a high standard that they all must meet.
There are no cameras made that are specifically designed to be used in freefall. We use modified consumer cameras (Sony, Canon, Nikon) and they are usually reliable. On rare occasion they do malfunction, or the lenses fog, and we do not record your jump. If this happens, we will refund the price of the video, or stills, or both.
