Skydive Temple has 26 years of experience and is the only Drop Zone in Texas owned and operated by a National Skydiving Champion, who has 40+ years of skydiving experience. We are a proud member of the United States Parachutists Association and all of our instructors hold USPA ratings and licenses.
Skydive Temple is the official training facility for the Texas National Guard Parachute Demonstration Team! The Fort Hood Sentinel wrote about our March Safety Day Event, because safety is our priority.
Our emphasis on scheduling jumps in a timely manner is important to us! We treat you as a new-found friend, not as another customer passing through.
Skydive Temple's facilities are designed for entertaining large groups and outside catering is available upon request for graduations, birthday parties, weddings, or any celebration! Ask about our discounts, and you can plan a party that will give everyone a truly memorable experience!
Not with a group? We have plenty of room for your friends and family to watch as you take your ultimate thrill of a lifetime! We have a snack bar available on weekends or you can bring your own food and spirits for AFTER your jump. There is plenty of Shiner Bock available when you are done!
Skydive Temple's private airport, drop zone, and facilities are located right off of Interstate 35, half an hour north of Austin, 30 minutes east of Killeen/Ft. Hood, and south of the scenic village of Salado, recently voted as the top 10 most beautiful towns in Texas.
We are a mile south of the wonderful town of Salado. Salado has many tourist attractions that attract lots of people to our community. The town regularly hosts arts and crafts events as well as musical ones. Besides skydiving, we have art galleries, a wide variety of eclectic shops, and even a Glass-Blowing shop where you can watch glassware being blown and even take classes on creating your own!
While we offer free Shiner Bock after your skydive, feel free to check out The Chupacabra & Salado Lone Star Winery in town which has over 60 Texas craft brews on tap as well as a large selection of wine. They also have live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Salado also has Barrow Brewing Co which brews their own beers in town and has its own taproom. It has food trucks available most Thursdays-Sundays, and live music on Saturdays.
If you are worn out after your day of skydiving, Salado has hotels and bed and breakfasts available for lodging. You can even take a Ghost Tour of the town and learn about the ghostly past of this historic town.
