Georgetown resident Al Blaschke ties US Record for jumping on his 100th birthday at Skydive Temple - read about it here

100-year-old celebrates his birthday at Skydive Temple

On January 4, 2017, Al Blaschke turned 100 and made it a day to remember. Al brought out his friend Betty Schleder out to join him for a skydive. The idea first came up when he was 97, but he wanted to wait until he turned 100 and celebrate on his birthday! Al jumped with our instructor Aaron Burwell, and enjoyed every moment of the skydive. The video shows him rolling in the air as he yelled, woooo. A short while later, when the parachute was open and the freefall was over, Burwell asked Blaschke how he liked it. "Fantastic, wow, that was great!"

News crews from the area were around to document the occasion.
